Indiana legalized hemp under SEA 516 (2019). Follows federal delta-9 definition. THCA and smokable hemp legal.
Important Note
Indiana has been relatively permissive with hemp-derived THC products despite having no adult-use cannabis.
Marijuana / Cannabis Law
Cannabis remains fully illegal in Indiana. No medical program. CBD oil exemption (SEA 52, 2018) for epilepsy only.
Possession Limit
Any amount: misdemeanor (30g or less) to felony (30g+).
No medical or adult-use legislation expected in near term. Hemp market fills consumer demand.

Label per OISC requirements: THC content, batch ID, QR to COA

Maintain compliance documentation for 3 years

Enforcement Notes
OISC enforces hemp regulations. Law enforcement has been trained on hemp vs marijuana distinction, but COA documentation remains critical.
